See it run
Thirty seconds, from address to finished quote.
The address goes in. Takeoffs come back. The quote prices itself line by line against the price list.
No sound. 30 seconds.
How it works
How does an address become a quote?
Four steps run back to back. The system gets the roof measurements, matches them to your materials, applies your waste and pricing rules, and lays out the quote in your format. Then a person on your team checks it and sends it.
-
01
The address goes in
Someone on your sales team, or a dealer, types the property address. That is the only typing in the whole quote.
-
02
Takeoffs come back as numbers
The system orders the measurements from EagleView or Hover through their APIs. Both publish developer documentation for returning measurement data as structured files, so squares, pitch, ridge, hips, valleys and eaves arrive as numbers. Nobody reads a report and retypes it.
Already have the report as a PDF? The system reads the numbers off the PDF instead. More on what a report gives you, and what it leaves out, in our post on EagleView reports.
-
03
Your rules turn it into line items
This is the part no off-the-shelf tool ships, because it is yours. Your product lines. Your material list, with the coverage of each piece. Waste by pitch and by how cut-up the roof is. Steep-slope labour, minimum job charges, tear-off by layer.
We write each rule down with whoever prices your jobs today, once. After that the system applies them on every quote, the same way, whoever is quoting. When a price changes, you update your list and the next quote uses it. See how material prices stay current.
-
04
A finished quote, ready to send
Totals, options and your terms fill your own quote layout. It waits for someone on your team to look it over, then goes to the homeowner. No spreadsheet in between, and no waiting for the one person who knows the prices.
Why off-the-shelf tools fall short
Why don't off-the-shelf quoting tools get your numbers right?
They stop at one of two points. A measurement report hands you the shape of the roof and leaves the price to someone in your office. A per-square calculator gives you a price, but from one number per square that knows nothing about the products you actually sell.
An off-the-shelf tool
- Stops at the measurement, or prices by the square
- Your price list gets re-entered in the tool's format
- Waste and labour rules live in one estimator's head
- The quote looks like the vendor's template
- A subscription you keep paying for as long as you use it
A system built on your price list
- Goes from address all the way to a sendable quote
- Reads your price list and every product line in it
- Applies your rules the same way on every quote
- The quote is your layout, your terms, your options
- You own the code. No per-seat fees, ever
It gets harder if you sell composite or synthetic roofing. Each product line has its own field pieces, ridge, starter and trim, each with its own coverage and waste. A tool built around shingles by the square has nowhere to put that. And if you are a manufacturer, there is a second problem: the quote has to come out the same whether your own sales rep writes it or one of your dealers does.
Quoting is usually the first piece. The same approach covers follow-up, jobs and invoices when you want it to: purpose-built software and one connected system.
Live today
Built for a roof tile manufacturer and its dealers.
Brava Roof Tile makes composite slate, shake and Spanish tile. We built its quoting tool. It pulls takeoffs from Hover and EagleView, reads PDF measurement reports, prices each roof against Brava's own product lines, and produces the finished quote.
Brava's sales team quotes with it. So do its dealers and installers.

Speed to quote
Why does the first quote matter so much?
Firms that tried to reach a lead within an hour were nearly 7 times as likely to have a meaningful conversation with a decision maker as firms that tried one hour later.
Harvard Business Review, "The Short Life of Online Sales Leads," 2011. 1.25 million leads, 42 U.S. companies.A homeowner who asks for a roof quote has told you she is ready to buy. She has never priced a roof before, so the first real number she sees becomes the one every later quote gets measured against.
The HBR study was sales leads, not roofing, and it measured conversations, not signed jobs. Read it as direction. Ken Krogue, co-founder of InsideSales.com, made the useful split: he called offers like a proposal request "prime for immediate response," unlike lower-intent leads. A quote request is a proposal request.
The measuring is rarely what makes a quote slow. The wait is in the hours between the report landing and somebody having time to price it. That is the step this system removes. We walk through the four stages, and how to time your own, in how fast a roofing quote should be and why quotes still take days with estimating software.
Accuracy
Can you trust a quote nobody measured by hand?
The measurements come from the same providers you already order from. The system adds no guesses of its own. It applies your rules to their numbers, and a person checks the result before it goes out.
-
Same measurements you already trust
EagleView and Hover supply the takeoffs, or the PDF report you already paid for. Nothing gets measured off a free map.
-
It stops instead of guessing
We build it to flag what it can't price, like a missing pitch or a product that isn't on your list, so nobody sends a number the system made up.
-
A person signs off
The quote waits for someone on your team. On a simple roof that check is quick. On a complex one, your estimator adjusts it before it goes.
-
The site visit still happens when it should
Soft decking or a hidden leak won't show up in an aerial report. A fast quote gets your number in front of the homeowner first. Your inspection still sets the final scope.
Questions
What owners ask about instant quoting.
How fast is it, really?
The quote builds in seconds once the measurements are in. How long the measurement takes depends on the provider and the report you order. If you already have the report as a PDF, the system reads it straight away.
Do I have to switch CRMs or estimating tools?
No. We build around what you already run: AccuLynx, JobNimbus, QuickBooks, CompanyCam, Monday or a spreadsheet. Your team keeps the tools they know.
Does it work for insurance jobs?
Insurance line items follow their own rules, and rules are what this system is made of. They get written down and applied like any other pricing rule. Tell us on the call how you handle claims today and we will show you where they fit.
What does it cost?
Most first systems start around $3,000, when you already have the tools and the work is connecting them. A full system built from scratch costs more. You get a real number on the call, once we've seen how you price. After it's built, you pay for hosting and usage, never per seat.
How long does it take to build?
A first working version in weeks, not months. Most clients keep working with us after that, adding to the system as it pays off. That part is your choice.
Who owns it?
You do. The code, the hosting and the accounts are yours. If we stopped tomorrow, it would keep running, and anyone you hire can work on it. No licence, no per-seat fees.
